Advanced Technology
Our Advanced Technology (AT) Team are operating at the forefront of technology, being empowered to push the boundaries of engineering and challenged to relentlessly maximise power density, energy density and efficiency.
Working closely with the Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG Teams in Stuttgart, our mission is to accelerate innovations that will differentiate Mercedes’ electrification strategy by exemplifying motorsport ambition and pace, evidencing the art of the (just) possible. HPP’s AT Team also work with a select group of non-Mercedes businesses where strong synergies exist in their mission, ambition and spirit.
The AT Team has a wealth of experience in developing and delivering optimised systems and powertrains. As with HPP’s Formula 1 Team, the AT Team is heavily vertically integrated to provide great speed and flexibility. Having deep expertise spanning system architecture definition, product simulation, hardware and software design, agile supply chains and benchmark build and test facilities and capabilities, the AT Team works across all electrified powertrain technologies including motors, inverters, DCDC-converters, batteries and battery management systems.
Whilst the majority of our projects are highly confidential, good examples in the public domain that can be shared include the ground-breaking Vision EQXX vehicle, and delivery of the hugely ambitious AMG ONE Hypercar. With a healthy pipeline of future projects under discussion, this is a career area worth keeping your eye on.
